How we test creator promo codes
Updated November 4, 2026
CodesByCreators is run by Cole, who got tired of creator codes that promise more than they deliver at checkout. The site tracks the codes creators read out in their videos and checks what each one actually takes off.
1. We only list codes a creator actually posted
Every code links to its source, usually the creator's YouTube video description, and shows the date that post went up. We quote the creator's own wording. We never make up a code, a discount, or a follower count.
2. We test them on the same cart
For each store we pick one sample product and price it as a one-time purchase unless the card says otherwise. We enter each code and write down the price before and after. A card shows the product, the price, the dollars taken off, and when the test happened.
3. What the labels mean
- Working: the checkout accepted the code on the date shown.
- Untested: we found the code in a creator's post but haven't tried it yet, or our last check is over a year old.
- Expired: the checkout turned the code down. Expired codes move below the list.
4. Ranking
We rank codes by the dollars a test took off, not by the percent in the post, and never by what a brand pays. CodesByCreators doesn't use affiliate links and earns nothing when you buy. Ads support the site, and any paid placement is labeled Sponsored.
5. Health and wellness products
For supplements and wellness brands, we list discount codes only. We don't review products or make health claims. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before you start a supplement.
Example: Momentous 15% codes vs “up to 35%” codes.
